Ruth’s Chris T-bone Steak

Ingredients:

1 ½ lbs. bone-in T-bone steak
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 Tbs. canola oil





Directions:

1.Heat oven to 450 F. Remove steak from the fridge for a half-hour before cooking.

2.Heat skillet over high heat. Pat steak dry and season with salt and pepper. Add canola oil to the skillet. Once oil smokes, add the steak.

3.Lower heat slightly and cook until T-bone browns, for about 4 minutes on each side.

4.Place skillet in the oven and roast until the steak reaches 120 F. This should take about 6 to 8 minutes.

5.Transfer steak to a cutting board and allow the meat to rest for 10 minutes. Cut steak against the grain and serve with roasted veggies.
