5 lb black eyed peas
3 lbs smoked ham hocks
2 1/2 gal water
1 lb onion
1 lb 1/2 inch celery (optional)
2 TBSP garlic
2 1/2 tsp red pepper
2 1/2 tsp salt
2 1/2 tsp black pepper
DIRECTIONS:
1.Combine hocks, water, onion, celery, and seasonings.
2.Bring to boil, add peas; cover cook stirring occasionally over low heat 1 hours or until peas are tender.
