Veal Steaks With Caramelized Onions

What You'll Need:

2 teaspoons olive oil
2 teaspoons butter
2 medium yellow or sweet onions, halved lengthwise and thinly sliced
Salt and pepper
2 to 4 veal strip steaks, chops, or fillets, about 1-inch thickness
1 or 2 cloves garlic, cut in half
Salt and pepper
2 to 3 teaspoons olive oil







How to Make It:

1. In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add onions and cook, stirring frequently, until nicely browned, about 20 to 30 minutes.

2. Coat a grill pan or large skillet with olive oil; place over medium-high heat. Rub steaks with the cut sides of the garlic and sprinkle with salt and pepper Cook the steaks for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side, or until done as desired.

3. Serve veal on a thin bed of caramelized onions and sprinkle with more strands of the caramelized onions.
