Ingredients
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
¾ cup white sugar
¾ cup water
3 cups water
Instructions
1.Begin by juicing the lemons. 6 lemons yields about 1 cup of juice.
2.In a small saucepan, heat water and sugar until sugar has dissolved completely. Allow mixture to cool.
3.Mix lemon juice, simple syrup (sugar mixture) and water in a pitcher.
4.Garnish with lemon slices and mint.
Strawberry Rosemary Lemonade:
Ingredients
1 cup lemon juice
¾ cup sugar
¾ cup water
2 sprigs of fresh rosemary
1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
3 cups water
Instructions:
1.Begin by juicing the lemons. 6 lemons yields about 1 cup of juice.
2.Using a mortar and pestle or back of a spoon, bruise rosemary sprigs so they release their aroma
3.In a small saucepan, heat water, sugar, AND fresh rosemary sprigs until sugar have dissolved completely.
4.Allow mixture to cool.
5.In a blender, puree strawberries and rosemary-infused simple syrup.
6.Mix lemon juice, strawberry puree and water in a pitcher.
7.Garnish with lemon slices and more rosemary.
Sparkling Blueberry Basil Lemonade:
Ingredients:
¾ cup sugar
¾ cup water
1 cup lemon juice
1 cup blueberries (save a handful for garnish)
1 bunch of basil
3 cups sparkling water
Instructions:
1.Begin by juicing the lemons. 6 lemons yields about 1 cup of juice.
2.In a small saucepan, heat water and sugar until the sugar has dissolved completely.
3.Allow mixture to cool.
4.In a blender, puree blueberry, basil and simple syrup.
5.Run mixture through a sieve to remove blueberry skins.
6.Mix lemon juice, blueberry puree and water in a pitcher.
7.Garnish with lemon slices, blueberries, and a few basil leaves.
