Sauce:
2/3 C. honey
1 C. sugar
4 tsp. chipotle adobo sauce
1 Tbs. hot sauce
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 C. ketchup
2 Tbs. white vinegar
2/3 C. cold water + 4 Tbs. cornstarch
2 lb. chicken wings
Directions:
1.To make the sauce, whisk together all the ingredients except the chicken, water, and cornstarch in a bowl. Grease the inside of the crockpot and pour in half the sauce. Put the chicken wings in the crockpot. Toss the wings in the sauce. Cover and cook on high for 3 to 4 hours.
2.In a small bowl, combine the water and cornstarch. Put the reserved sauce into the crockpot and stir in the water and cornstarch mixture Cover and cook for another 15 to 20 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
