Pork Belly Strips

INGREDIENTS:

3 lb Belly Pork, cut into 8 strips
2 tsp Olive Oil
1 Medium Onion, diced
Black Pepper (to Taste)
5 tsp Dry Cider
5 tsp Soy Sauce
1 tsp Tomato Puree
1 tsp Ground Ginger
1 Garlic Clove
1 tsp Light Brown Sugar


DIRECTIONS:

1.Pat the cut pork strips with a paper towel. Rub each strip with olive oil. Season with pepper. Place them into a roasting tray and cook in a 400-degree oven for 30 minutes.

2.Make the sauce while the pork is cooking. Whisk together cider, soy sauce, tomato puree, ground ginger, minced garlic and light brown sugar. After the first 30 minutes pour the sauce over the pork in the roasting tin and cook for another 25 minutes.
